We’re on a bit of a spider kick this Halloween, they are just too fun to craft. We’re creating these sparkly little spiders using Q-tips. I’ve joined up with Q-tips to become a Tipster ambassador. Q-tips are one of those supplies in crafting that I always have on hand. They are so versatile in it’s uses, soft and gentle, and perfect for small hands. They are great for applying paint, glue, and water or as a tool to create lines and shapes in craft dough or clay. Today, these Q-tips are making the perfect spider legs!

Supplies for Q-Tip Spiders:

Q-tips – 4 per spiderscissorsPaper platesblack paintglue – any glue will work. I prefer a Glue Dot for these, as well as a white glue.pom poms2 googly eyes

*You can craft your spiders first or paint your web first. We did both and either way works well.

1. Place a glue dot onto the center of a paper plate.

2. Cut your Q-tips in half and add 4 in a row to the top of the glue dot, on either side. This will create the spider’s 8 legs.

3. Choose a pom-pom to add as the spider’s body. I found a package of these pre-made glitter pom-poms, fun for a spider. Or you could make your own out of yarn.

4. Add 2 dots of glue to the pom-pom and add on your 2 googly eyes.

5. Using a fresh Q-tip, dip it in your black paint and create a spider web around your spider.

*Like I stated above, you can create your painted web first and then make your spider on top after.

Let the paint dry and then these spiders will be ready for Halloween. In fact, these would make a great craft for a classroom Halloween party. You might even see a few Flying Spider Discs, as my girls have been flying them around all day!

Make sure to join Q-tips on Facebook, as they are launching their Q-Tip-a-Thon today. Share your tips, and you could win a $100 weekly gift card or the grand prize, a $1,000 gift card and a year’s supply of Q-tips.

Disclosure: this is a sponsored post by Q-tip, as I’m a Tipster ambassador. All opinions and creative ideas are my own.
